So, who am I then?

Well, I started out in the Radio Industry in 1987 – my first ever show presenter shift was at Marcher Sound in Wrexham and my first (and only) show critique from the boss there was ‘…you sounded like Jimmy Somerville on acid!’  Charming!!

From there I moved to do regular shows at Radio Wyvern, Red Dragon Radio, TFM, Buzz FM, Stray FM, Fresh Radio, Signal Cheshire, BBC Radio York, BBC Tees, Star Radio, Sun FM…I think that’s them all!

I was a successful Radio Programmer too – running Stray FM in Harrogate and seeing it’s success soar over a 5 year period from 30% weekly reach to 40% and weekly listeners up from 40,000 to 57,000 (sadly, that figure has never been topped…well it’s not that sad for my reputation obviously!!).

Then in 2003, after a couple of Management stints, I decided to go freelance as a Consultant and get a proper paid full time job, working for the Police and now as a Motorway Traffic Officer.

But I still keep my hand in…

My varied media work still continues and from my studio base in Manchester, from where I provide voiceover, presentation, creative, sales and social media marketing services to clients.

I’m a Radio Tutor too, having written and taught part time courses with some fantastic students at SSR Manchester. I’m also proud to be involved on a volunteer basis with a wonderful team at Zetland FM, a local radio station based in Redcar, Teesside.

So, that’s me….! How can I help?
